The company launched its own brand “Base Terminal” in 2002. The company also introduced several game changing initiatives like the ‘Dial-a-Battery’ service in 2003. It has been responsible for many firsts in the Indian battery market like introducing VRLA technology back in 1986.
Base has a highly experienced team of 1000 professionals working at 30 branches across the country, along with a network of 15000 retailers through a constant distributor network of 475. Through this integrated network, Base Battery’s quality system identifies key metrics such as customer satisfaction, process management and process results analysis to drive continuous improvement in services across the country.

Base Batteries is in its second phase of expansion in the country. We are building India’s biggest battery manufacturing plant in Solan, H.P., North India, to cater to the growing energy demands in the region. The current capacity of the plant in Solan (HP) is 60mAh, which is the largest in North India. The upcoming plant in Hosur (TN) will initialize at 230mAh in December 2013, which would be the largest integrated battery manufacturing plant in India.
